To the Solar Viewpoint
Linear route – Sunrise hike
Experience the magic of the mountains with this guided excursion to watch the sunrise from the Tristaina Solar Viewpoint, a spectacular structure located on the summit of Pic de Peyreguils (2,701 m). The hike begins early in the morning with headlamps to ensure arrival just in time to witness the sunrise in a breathtaking setting, surrounded by peaks and glacial lakes.
The Solar Viewpoint is a circular platform suspended above the void, functioning as a sundial thanks to its 27-meter tilted gnomon. From here, you can enjoy panoramic views of the Tristaina glacial cirque, the French border, and the Ordino Valley.
The trail climbs first to Estany de Creussans, surrounded by alpine meadows and rock formations, then continues to the Port de Creussans, a natural pass between Andorra and France. The final section follows an easy and safe ridge up to the summit and the viewpoint.
After sunrise, the descent can be done either on foot or by the Creussans chairlift, and the experience ends with breakfast at La Coma restaurant.
