Ordino Arcalís is an ideal resort for the most adventurous families who are looking for their great winter ally in the mountains. The first steps in the snow are the most important. For this reason, we have a team of qualified instructors in the snow garden who will help the little ones to get started in the white sport. The professionalism of the team, the quality of the facilities and the good atmosphere are key elements for children to enjoy themselves and want to come skiing as much as you do.
The Ordino Arcalís nursery welcomes children aged 1 to 3 who can walk independently. In a safe environment supervised by professionals, they enjoy toys and arts and crafts workshops.
It is mandatory to present documentation proving the child's age. Children showing symptoms of contagious diseases will not be accepted without a medical certificate.

Snow garden. From 3 to 6 years old
The Snow Garden of Ordino Arcalís is intended for children aged 3 to 6, offering them a safe and adapted space to enjoy the snow with specialized instructors. It is recommended to respect the age range, as differences with younger children may affect group dynamics.
Important information:
Meeting point: Planells Ski School.
Activity start: Every day at the following times: Half-day (subject to availability): Morning: from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. /Afternoon: from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.
The service does not include meals or ski equipment.
Mandatory equipment: Ski boots, skis, and helmet. Gloves and sunglasses are recommended.
The ski pass is not included and is mandatory for the activity.

Kids program. From 3 to 11 years old
The Kids Program is the perfect experience for children aged 3 to 11 to learn to ski in a safe and fun environment. Children are grouped by age and level:
3-6 years: Lessons in the snow garden with 2 hours of skiing and 1 hour of snow introduction.
6-11 years: Lessons on the slopes with specialized instructors.
In addition to ski lessons, outdoor and indoor activities are offered, such as sledding, mini snowmobiles, and animated games. A valid ski pass is required for the booked days. The school does not provide equipment or rental services.
What is the best age to learn to ski? The ideal age to start skiing is between 3 and 6 years old. At this stage, children usually have enough coordination and motor skills to begin learning. However, every child develops at their own pace.
When can young children start skiing? Children can get familiar with snow from a very early age. At Ordino Arcalís, the nursery welcomes children from 1 to 3 years old. From age 3, they can begin ski lessons in the Snow Garden with professional instructors.
How long does it take a child to learn to ski? It depends on the child. With regular lessons and consistent practice, most children can learn the basics in one or two seasons. What matters most is that they enjoy the process and learn through play.
