Grandvalira Resorts warms up for the snow season at the Andorra la Vella Fair

Visitors will be able to purchase Season Passes with discounts of up to more than €400 and enjoy activities for the little ones.

This year’s new features include the possibility of purchasing passes in Mobile Pass format and the addition of La Parva to the international destinations included with the Andorra Pass

La Fira d’Andorra la Vella will hold its 47th edition from 23 to 25 October and, once again, the resorts of Grandvalira Resorts will be present with their stand. As is traditional, the event will mark the beginning of the countdown to the ski season, which is scheduled to start next 4 December, weather conditions permitting, and run until 4 April.

Many attendees take advantage of the fair to find out about and purchase the Andorra Pass and Nord Pass Season Passes, which are available at a promotional price until 9 November, with discounts that can exceed €400 in some cases. Grandvalira Resorts offers other types of passes, depending on the preferences and needs of each visitor, such as the Mountain Pass, the Pedestrian Pass and the Extra-curricular, University and Companion Passes, which can also be requested during these days. The event will also be a good opportunity to find out about the programmes offered by the seasonal ski schools and book their services, with information points for Avet Center, Avet Center Snowplus and Club Màgic Ski. Purchasers of the Andorra Pass and the Nord Pass will receive a ski bag as a gift, while those who purchase the non-resident Children’s Season Pass will receive a winter hat.

As a new feature, this season the Andorra Pass and the Nord Pass will be available in Mobile Pass format, the type of pass launched last winter for day passes and extended this year to season passes. Mobile Pass allows users to carry their pass directly on their mobile phone and access the lifts without needing a physical card.

Andorra Pass, a fully established country-wide pass

The Andorra Pass has become established as the country-wide pass providing unlimited access to all Andorran resorts, totalling 308 skiable km. Once again, purchasing this pass also allows skiing at numerous renowned resorts in Europe, America and Asia, such as Les 3 Vallées (France), which includes resorts such as Courchevel, Méribel, Les Menuires and Val Thorens; Norway home of skiing (Norway); the North American resorts of Mammoth Mountain (California), Deer Valley (Utah) and Steamboat (Colorado); and Switzerland’s Verbier, among many other international destinations. As a new feature, the Andorra Pass now includes La Parva, in Chile, expanding the possibilities for skiing during the European summer thanks to this new destination in the Southern Hemisphere.

The Nord Pass, meanwhile, is the pass offering unlimited access to the resorts of Pal Arinsal and Ordino Arcalís throughout the season, totalling 93 skiable km. The Nord Pass also includes up to four days of skiing at Grandvalira for non-residents of Andorra and two days for residents. In addition, it includes a wide range of international destinations, such as Nevis Range (United Kingdom), Masella, Saint-Lary-Soulan, Font-Romeu, Hautacam and Gavarnie-Gèdre (France), among others.

It should be remembered that both season passes will also be valid during summer 2027, providing access to the lifts operating during the summer season, including those at the prestigious Bike Park de Pal Arinsal. They also offer multiple benefits, such as discounts on certain services at the resorts and partner shops or invitations for friends, among others, which can be consulted on the resorts’ websites.

Promo price and a 5% loyalty reward

Both the Andorra Pass and the Nord Pass currently benefit from a reduced price corresponding to the Promo period, which will remain in effect until 9 December. In the case of the Andorra Pass, this promotion can mean a discount of more than €400 compared with the price during the RRP period, which will apply from 10 December. In addition, Grandvalira Resorts continues to reward customer loyalty with an additional 5% discount for those renewing their season pass. Thus, loyal customers residing in the Principality can purchase the Andorra Pass for €512, while the price for new customers is €539. For loyal non-resident customers, the Andorra Pass currently costs €968, compared with €1,019 for new customers, versus the €1,433 it will cost once the promotional period has ended for the latter group.

Residents of Andorra, meanwhile, can purchase the Nord Pass during the Promo period for €312.55 (loyal customers) and €329 (new customers), while prices for non-residents are €748.60 (loyal customers) and €788 (new customers). It should be remembered that both the Andorra Pass and the Nord Pass have additional reductions for children and seniors, depending on age. The passes can also be paid for in instalments during the Promo period, an option that will no longer be available once the promotion ends.

Mountain Pass and Andorra Pass Pedestrian

Furthermore, visitors to the fair will also be able to purchase the Mountain Pass, the pass allowing participants to practise snow sports other than alpine skiing at the resorts of Grandvalira, Pal Arinsal, Ordino Arcalís and Naturland. With this pass, users can access the available ski touring and snowshoe circuits, as well as use the lifts included in the product conditions. The Mountain Pass costs €182 and includes rescue services and transport to the resort’s medical centre in the event of an accident on the circuits and slopes designated for this activity. Another type of pass offered by Grandvalira Resorts is the Andorra Pass Pedestrian, intended for people who do not practise snow sports but wish to access certain points of the resorts or restaurants in the different sectors and enjoy the Andorran mountains using the operating lifts. This pass can be obtained for €191 and is valid for the entire season.

Extra-curricular, University and Companion Passes

Grandvalira Resorts will also offer the Extra-curricular, University and Companion Season Passes for sale at the fair. These passes provide access to all the country’s resorts, as well as the summer lifts, including those at the Bike Park de Pal Arinsal. This year, the Extra-curricular Pass costs €183.73, the University Pass can be purchased for €257.57 and the Companion Pass for €244.85. The resorts of Andorra thus maintain their commitment to promoting skiing among children and university students in the Principality through these passes.

Secure a place at the ski schools and more outdoor activities outside the venue

At the Grandvalira Resorts stand, visitors will also be able to book the services of the seasonal ski schools Club Magic Ski (Grandvalira Pas de la Casa - Grau Roig and Ordino Arcalís), Avet Center (Grandvalira Soldeu - El Tarter) and Avet Center Snowplus (Pal Arinsal), ensuring a place for this winter. The latter two will offer a special fair price, valid until this Sunday, 25 October, for Snowplus, and until 16 November for Avet Center.

As usual, the resorts have prepared various activities outside the fair’s main venue, aimed mainly at younger children. Grandvalira’s snowboard and freestyle school will offer an introductory taster session in these disciplines using Burton Riglet equipment, an innovative learning method aimed at children aged 4 to 10, as well as introductory freestyle workshops, both skiing and snowboarding, for boys and girls aged 8 to 15. As a new feature this year, trampolines will also be installed, expanding the range of recreational activities outside the venue. In addition, Pal Arinsal will once again offer its traditional inflatables.
