A spectacular high-mountain stage starting and finishing in Andorra la Vella. The route, 104.9 km long and with more than 3,300 metres of positive elevation gain, will test the peloton’s best climbers in one of the toughest stages of the first week.
The stage will pass through some of the country’s most emblematic places, crossing Encamp, El Tarter, Soldeu and Pas de la Casa, before tackling the ascent of the Port d'Envalira, the highest paved mountain pass in the Pyrenees, at an altitude of 2,408 m. Afterwards, the riders will take on the demanding Collada de Beixalís and the Coll d'Ordino, offering a true spectacle in a unique high-mountain setting.
