Grandvalira expects to offer 180 km of slopes, and Pal Arinsal and Ordino Arcalís will open 100% of the slopes starting from Saturday

The snowfalls allow expanding the ski offering to over 270 km of slopes among the three Grandvalira Resorts, the highest of this season.

The Andorran domains welcome the precipitation of the last few days, which have left thicknesses of up to 55 centimetres of new snow, and expect to receive more snow in the coming days.

The Grandvalira Resorts stations have received up to 55 centimetres of accumulated new snow in recent days, with which, together with the drop in temperatures conducive to snowmaking, the domains foresee a significant expansion of the available slopes for this weekend. Thus, the Grandvalira Resorts stations expect to offer a total of more than 270 kilometres of skiable terrain starting from Saturday, of which nearly 180 km belong to Grandvalira, which will have more than 115 open slopes, and thicknesses of up to 105 centimetres of powder snow thanks to the 55 cm of new snow that have fallen in recent days.

On their part, Pal Arinsal and Ordino Arcalís, which have received 45 and 50 centimetres of new snow respectively, plan to open 100% of the slopes and lifts starting from Saturday, if weather conditions allow. La Massana station has thicknesses of up to 80 centimetres of powder snow, and the Ordino domain up to 120 cm of powder snow.

The new snowfall in recent days has boosted bookings for the month of March, so Grandvalira Resorts anticipates very good visitor forecasts, both from international and local markets, until the end of the season, set for Sunday, April 7. It is also worth noting that weather forecasts predict more snowfall for the weekend.

Brunch UNICEF en el Racó de Solanelles

Skimo Femení en Pal, Women’s Celebration

The weekend will bring another charitable action to Grandvalira Resorts with the celebration of the 7th edition of Skimo Femení in Pal Arinsal on Sunday, a sports day held as part of International Women's Day with the aim of promoting the practice of snow sports among women and, for the first time, counts towards the Andorra Mountain Ski Cup. Beyond its sporting nature, the event has a festive and playful aspect and, above all, a charitable one, as part of the funds raised are allocated to the AUTEA association, which works for the inclusion of people with autism spectrum disorders.

In this sense, besides the two traditional mountain skiing and snowshoeing tests, you can opt for the “Row 0”, a third participation modality that allows making a donation. Registrations are still open and can be done online until Friday, March 1st at 23:59 on the website www.topcrono.net.
