The Sorteny valley is a fascinating spot with a wealth of history and science and is a great way to learn about the beauty of the Andorran mountain landscapes. It covers an area of 1,080 hectares and helps preserve the biodiversity and natural and cultural heritage of the Pyrenees.

The Vall de Sorteny Natural Park, cultural heritage of the Ordino Parish, is located below the Ordino Arcalís ski resort. It is home to hundreds of species of flowers, animals and birds. In short, it is one of the most beautiful and naturally diverse sites in the Pyrenee

The valley also offers the Sorteny Mountain Shelter, with 6 bedrooms providing accommodation for up to 50 people.

Snowshoeing and mountain skiing circuits

Snowshoeing and mountain skiing enthusiasts will find it easier to visit the most iconic spots in the area thanks to the new signposting marking out the circuits for both activities. All the circuits are at expert level and can be discovered with the Grandvalira Mountain Guides (GMG), who will be leading the excursions along these new routes. The shelter will become a La Sportiva base camp.

Special nights in Sorteny

Would you like to enjoy mountain cuisine in an ideal location? Now you can enjoy unique dinners with the special nights at the Refugi de Sorteny. Every Thursday or full moon night, we prepare a unique menu with the freshest seasonal ingredients.

In addition, for those who prefer a more personalized experience, we have a dining room attached to the refuge, the Cabana Vaquer, which can accommodate between 10 and 12 guests for a private dinner with a tailored menu.
