The Sorteny valley
Is a fascinating spot with a wealth of history and science and is a great way to learn about the beauty of the Andorran mountain landscapes.The Vall de Sorteny Natural Park, cultural heritage of the Ordino Parish, is located below the Ordino Arcalís ski resort. This year 2024 the park celebrates its 25th anniversary and has scheduled a series of activities for the whole family to discover an exceptional environment where hundreds of species of flowers, different types of fauna and a wide variety of birds live together.

Restaurant de Sorteny
Make the most of your excursion to the Sorteny Valley to enjoy a good mountain meal in the refuge's restaurant. Outside, a 150 m2 terrace allows you to enjoy extraordinary views over the Ordino valley, combined with a menu that includes traditional Andorran dishes such as escudella or trinxat.
It is advisable to book a table in advance.
Opening times: 12 pm to 4 pm.
Explore the Vall de Sorteny
Hiking, nature, snowshoeing, and mountain skiing enthusiasts will find it easier to visit the most iconic points in the area thanks to the new trail signage.
Both in winter and summer, all the trails will be of expert level and can be explored with the Grandvalira Mountain Guides (GMG), who will offer outings on these new routes. The refuge will become a La Sportiva base camp.

Try traditional dishes from Andorran cuisine in an outstanding natural setting. High-end gastronomy with a menu reflecting seasonal and local produce.
Relax in the welcoming shelter in Sorteny, or take a break on our 150 m2 terrace, where you can unwind while enjoying the extraordinary landscape that the valley offers.
Do you want a more private experience? The adjoining room Cabana Vaquer, with capacity for 12 people and a tailored menu, may be your best option.

Special nights in Sorteny
Would you like to enjoy mountain cuisine in an ideal location? Now you can enjoy unique dinners with the special nights at the Refugi de Sorteny. Every Thursday or full moon night, we prepare a unique menu with the freshest seasonal ingredients.
In addition, for those who prefer a more personalized experience, we have a dining room attached to the refuge, the Cabana Vaquer, which can accommodate between 10 and 12 guests for a private dinner with a tailored menu.
